ACB Diabetics in Action
ACB Diabetics in Action is a sub-chapter of the American Council of the Blind. Wherever you find a group of blind persons, you will also find diabetics. Diabetes is responsible for more blindness today because it often goes un-notices as type 2 diabetes. Without symptoms, this dreadful disease can sneak up on you and rob you of your eyesight or otherwise attack and damage your heart or kidneys.
Most of these problems can be avoided with proper education, medical treatment and awareness regarding the issues of proper health maintenance in the presence of this disease. Please see our section on Care for more information.
